School has been pretty crazy as of late @_@ Lots of time dedicated to homework and clubs. I get to propose for a button maker to an entire intercity council meeting. This could potentially bring a huge change to the college because all clubs would have access to a button maker and it wouldn't just be our club.

Then the homework is so much that I'm staying up past 11:00 PM to get things done. Weekends are very bad because of my tendency to procrastinate.

On top of that, I found out I might have a rare condition called Aphantasia, which is the lack of ability to visualize things. I may need to get that checked out by a doctor, because it could be linked to my mental health and I may need some form of medication for that. Regardless, I still dream, though it can be rare.

Regardless of my earlier thought, I do not have a learning disability. Just a memory issue with recalling things in visuals.

It's really interesting, because people sometimes call me a visual person. Probably because I'm an artist. But I don't really have a strong visual connection. I think of art in the sense of perspective, and though I constantly need visuals, it's not because that's what I learn by. It's because of my lack of visual memory.

I'm always using instincts. But I'm also being careful with my pictures and trying to learn through doing, rather than seeing. That's why I learn best with sound. And truthfully, I learn far better with sound than anything else.

But my instincts carry me as an artist, and I don't do well with art studies typically. I usually get frustrated pretty fast. But maybe if I speak as I draw, I can learn more about the subject, and improve my skills at a more rapid pace.

This affects my mathematical ability, as well as my perception, my memory, and even my verbal communication and reading. Now I have an true explanation for why I end up speaking rather weirdly or why despite having perfect comprehension when reading , I still struggle with visualizing the scene.

Anyway, that's my interesting tidbit of the day. I'm heading towards school right now, and I'm almost there. I hope to talk to you all soon!! I will try my best to keep up with you all.

Also!!!! I I FINISHED THE ROUGH DRAFT OF THE NETHERON PREQUEL!!!!!! I start editing in two weeks and I'm going to make sure I have a clear editing process. I want this book to be the best it can be.

Amazing and relatable to an extent
I can relate to staying up late, usually til 12 pm, to work on college hw and bits of projects. Once it's midnight, i'm like, time to turn off my lights, not just the kitchen's light. College has been busy especially with the end of the semester coming in 4 weeks or so. plus Saturday is my free day, Sunday is my struggle to be productive days too. Weekends...

Been looking on the bright side lately as part of my positivity challenge for the week. I don't think too harshly about things :)

hmmm, that's indeed a rare condition. learning with sound is interesting. it's not new but at the same time, it's something considerably mindful. It can be inspiring for one thing. Good to have instincts and use individual judgments ofc.

I'm a mix of a visual and hands-on learning person. This was especially true during my culinary school days. With art, i take other inspirations and my own imagination to merge ideas to innovating levels.

Netheron prequel? That sounds fantastic! If I ever get around, then I'll take a chance to read some of your literary works. :)
Also, you have a lovely name btw

Thanks ;D Haha, you're almost done with your semester,  I'm in the middle of mine. That's the way things role sometimes XD What do you plan on doing for vacation?

I'm most productive on the weekends, but I'm surprisingly really productive on Sunday sometimes, since that's the day I cram everything in XD Not necessarily school work, but my own personal projects!

True! That's a good challenge c: I've had to learn how to be positive... it takes a while, but it's completely doable! And it happens over time, too. XD It's good to focus on not thinking too harshly, too. c:

Yeah, it is a pretty rare condition. I've looked more into it, and now I'm thinking I probably shouldn't dwell on it XD I tend to get fixated on things SUPER easy lol. But yeah... I mainly learn by doing things and listening, and I think that is interesting. Online classes might be difficult for me, because of lack of "doing" things physically.

I would have thought I was visual, and I once WAS very visual as well XD I dunno lol

Yep! c: It's the chapter story I am currently working on. It's an LGBT Steampunk Fantasy novel with Gothic themes. I'm planning on publishing it, so it'll be going through beta read in December - January hopefully, once I get my major edits out of the way. XD

Thank you so much  I'm happy you think so <3 It's not my real name, but I wear it like so. XD I call myself Vivienne everywhere, even at one point - facebook! :lmao:

(Sorry for super late reply btw ;n; I'm a bit jet-lag in messages right now. I'm also super busy with school, projects, club stuff. XD Thank you for your patience. )

for the summer- two things
summer work-study at the textbook store on my campus and family vacation in Hawaii, the dream paradise imo and a lot of other people
going to start earning money again and enjoy some genuine time with family too
as long as the extended family adults aren't going bananas, last vacation was a mess of conflicts

you're welcome
don't worry about late replies, I've been busy too that i've been holding off rps and notes to certain peeps
haven't been in the best of spirits this week, the stress came crashing down, my procrastination skyrocketed, and my headache has been persistent
my mood, well... that's been full of indecisiveness and sadness

today is a change... things are beginning to settle down
going to do my best and start again

That's cool c: A vacation to Hawaii sounds awesome! I don't travel much myself XD I just stay at my home state in Washington. hahaha

Oooo conflict >< Not good. I wish you luck there.

Oh gosh D: I'm really sorry you're currently going through all of that. I hope things will improve for you. I've gotten headaches when I've been very stressed myself, or I've been off-kilter with my mood. A perfect balance with my medication and self-help techniques fixes that for me. But I get massive migraines on low or no doses of my meds D:

 I hope things continue to change for the better. :)

Oooh, I'm excited to read that! :la:

I've noticed school is getting tougher for Americans around this time. But the big joy of vacation is near! :la:

Hmm, it seems you'd be good at foreign languages if you so strongly learn with sound. :o

Yaaay! :la: I'm glad <333 I'm aiming for December or January of this year, to have the edits finished. I start editing in 2 weeks, so in the beginning of May.

Yes! Usually, spring is the hardest time for Americans. I plan on getting my first job in June.

Yeah! I think so. I have hearing problems too though, but it's only minor. Usually, my perception of hearing is okay if I'm up close (It's all that loud music I blare XD) I also seem to struggle slightly with figuring out rhythms in speech for creative writing class... but I'm getting there. I think that's something everyone struggles with at first, tbh :XD:

I might do a journal entry later on educating people about aphantasia, and how it can relate to art and other creative activites. XD
