There is no time to run, no time to hide - no time to recover.
A representation piece of what happens to Estelle towards the end of the prequel and first book. This is the representation of two-sides of her - the sides of her that are built within her, when the first book happens. One side is what everyone sees - the evil grin - the evil personality, the carelessness and ruthlessness of others. The other, is the side that no one sees - the hurtful sadness, the pain, the misery - and the constant fight to change herself.
I feel bad for having to put Estelle through this D: She's one of my favorite characters for that reason though, ahahaha xD
somehow this reminds me of my piece sweet disposition because of the intensity buildup LMAO///
but AHHH yes i agree with arasteia, i really love the reflective colors you used here as well !!! and idk if this is what you were going for but it almost appears as if i see ripples moving back and forth with this; though i think it's probably just the lighting /v\
LMAO I see xD I can see how it would relate!
Ahhhhh thank you! That's a really interesting insight xD Haha, I just sorta went with it... lol I had no idea what I was actually doing roflmao
I really like the concept here. It's such a neat and heartbreaking idea :') Poor Estelle.
I'm really glad you like it x3 I was worried the concept would be too weird hahaha xD Poor Estelle indeed :c
I had no idea about this as Estelle's character and it intrigues me further to read your story.. I finally have time as it is summer so I definitely am going to now
Lovely piece, Vi!
I've been admittedly showing a lot of pre-tyrant Estelle (aka fourteen year old Estelle), because that's my favorite type of Estelle xDDD She's quirky and fun that way, and very innocent. Of course, not forever - the end of the prequel shatters that innocence, and forces her into a role she doesn't want, so she's forced to quickly mature and rule a throne as young as 16. The old version of the first book is very old - Marcilyn doesn't even exist, and there are many flaws because it is old writing - not to mention the lack of LGBT elements. But I always recommend it for people to read it anyway, because it was the first book that I've ever finished for an original series (but certainly not the last hehehe). Of course, the prequel will come out soon as well. (But I still need lots of time on it /cries ;n; )
Hopefully that wasn't too long XD
But thanks! c:
Np Vi! Your story sounds awesome and it's great to meet a talented author AND artist here, you have the best of both worlds and I look up to you & your work
Awww thank you! That means so much to me, awww <33 I'm deeply flattered! I really do love working with writing and drawing alike, ever since I was young, I'm glad I stuck with it all these years!
